Prof. Dr. Wittneben is Professor in the Department of Reconstructive Dentistry and Gerodontology at the University of Bern, Switzerland, and maintains a private practice in Zurich. She received her dental degree and doctorate from the University of Witten/Herdecke, Germany, and then completed a three-year postgraduate specialization program in prosthodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine from which she holds a Master of Medical Sciences (MMedSc). She was awarded the Joseph L. Henry Award for “Overall Achievement in Clinical and Research Training and Contribution to the University”. She obtained her PhD from ACTA (Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam), the Netherlands, with a focus on esthetics in implant-supported prosthodontics.

Prof. Dr. Wittneben is actively involved in research in the fields of prosthodontics, CAD/CAM technologies, and implant-supported prosthetics, and has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals. She is the author of the 6th ITI Treatment Guide, focusing on extended edentulous spaces in the esthetic zone, which has been translated into eight languages.

She serves as an advisory board member of the Geistlich-Stucki Foundation, Vice President and Board Member of the Swiss Women in Dentistry Association, and Advisory Board Member of Quintessence AI. She is also a member of the Board of Mentors of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), an ITI Fellow and Speaker, part of the Leadership Team for the ITI Section Switzerland, and Study Club Director in Zurich. In addition, she is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), the Swiss Dental Association (SSO), and the Swiss Society of Reconstructive Dentistry (SSRD).

Dr. Arnd Happe is a full Professor at the University of Ulm, Germany. He is an Active Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and German Ambassador of the European Association for Osseointegration.  He lectures internationally on implant placement in the esthetic zone.

Prof. Happe graduated from the University of Münster, Germany as a Doctor for Dental Medicine in 1994 (Dr. Dr. Georg Habel in Münster). He then spent 3 years as a resident for Professor Dr. Fouad Khoury at the private Clinic for Implantology and Esthetic Dentistry in Olsberg and graduated in Oral Surgery in 1999.  In 1999 he established a private & referral practice in Münster, treating implant, perio, restorative and esthetic cases. He obtained an advanced degree in implantology (2000) and periodontology (2004) from the German Societies for Implantology and Periodontology respectively.

Since 2010 he has been a research fellow and external lecturer at the University of Cologne and in 2013 received his postdoctoral lecture qualification as an Assistant Professor. He has published several articles including chapters in textbooks (e.g. “Bone Augmentation in Oral Implantology” by Khoury, “Bone, Biomaterials and Beyond” by Barone & Nannmark, and “Building Better Bone” by R. Rossi).  In 2018 he published the textbook “Success with Implants in the Esthetic Zone” at Quintessence International. It is available in 4 languages.

Prof. Hom-Lay Wang, DDS, MSD, PhD, is Professor and Director of Graduate Periodontics at the University of Michigan. He has co-edited three textbooks, published more than 50 book chapters/invited reviews and more than 850 peer-reviewed scientific articles. Dr. Wang serves as a Co-Editor-in-Chief for Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, and an Associate Editor for The IJOMI and IJOI.

Dr. Wang is the recipient of many awards/honors including AAP Outstanding Educator Award (2017), AAP Distinguished Scientist Award (2017), AAP Master Clinician Award (2019), AAP Distinguished Service Award (2021), and AAP Clinical Research Award (2021).

Nadja Naenni graduated with a Master’s degree in Dental Medicine from the Center of Dental Medicine, University of Zurich, Switzerland in 2004 and received the “doctor medicinae dentium” (Dr. med. dent.) from the same University in 2005.

After a 6-year period as a full-time associate in two private practices, she completed the 3-year postgraduate training in reconstructive dentistry at the Clinic of Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Dental Material Science at the University of Zurich (2011-2013), which led to the title of ‘Specialist of Reconstructive Dentistry’ from the Swiss Society of Reconstructive Dentistry (2015).

Since 2013, she has been a full-time Senior Research and Teaching Assistant at the above clinic in Zurich, Switzerland (Prof. Christoph Hämmerle) and spent one year (2017) in Malmö and Gothenburg as a guest researcher (Prof. Ann Wennerberg).

She is in charge of the postgraduate education program at her clinic as well as of the synoptic student course, which aims to teach students how to treat complex prosthodontic cases. Her clinical focus lies on the treatment of complex and esthetic cases using all aspects of reconstructive dentistry. Her scientific interests lie on prosthodontics, implant dentistry and regenerative procedures.

Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Kokat is the coordinator of the PhD program for prosthetic dentistry at Istanbul Aydın University and continues to work at his private practice. After graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 1998, Dr. Kökat completed his PhD in prosthetic dentistry in 2004. He worked as lecturer at Yeditepe University and continued his career at Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms University as an ITI Scholar for oral, dental and maxillofacial diseases and surgery during 2008 and 2009. He received the title of associate professor in 2012, and in 2018 he was appointed university professor in the Department of Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Okan University.

He focuses on digital dentistry, porcelain laminate veneers and implantology and has published many articles in international peer-reviewed journals besides regularly giving courses and lectures on these topics. He has translated 8 books into Turkish and written chapters for 2 books on implant dentistry. Dr. Kökat has been an ITI Fellow since 2011 and worked as Communications Officer, Education Delegate and Chair in the ITI Section Turkey Leadership Team. He is a member of the ITI Board of Mentors and co-author of ITI Treatment Guide 16, The Digital Patient.

Prof. Pimkhaokham is Chairman of the Department of OMFS, FDCU and a Visiting Assoc. Prof. at Tokyo Medical and Dental University. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University (FDCU) in 1993 and continued his residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) at the same university. He started his career as a lecturer at FDCU in 1995. In 2002, he completed his PhD and OMFS training from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan. He is a Diplomate of Thai Board in OMFS. He has also attended several certificate courses and continuing education courses in implant dentistry around the world.

His research focus is on bone regeneration, computer-assisted implant surgery, and AI in dentistry. He has published more than 110 publications and 5 textbooks nationally and internationally. Prof. Pimkhaokham volunteers his time as an external examiner for PhD, Master’s and Residency candidates for several universities and as a reviewer for several national and international journals. He is also invited as a guest and keynote speaker to local and international symposiums and conferences. He is an ITI Fellow and Director of the ITI Scholarship Center (OMFS, FDCU, Thailand).

Dr. Sirida Arunjaroensuk currently serves as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the Faculty of Dentistry at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. She is also the ITI Study Club Director of BKK FDCU and a lecturer at FDCU.

Dr. Arunjaroensuk earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) with First Class Honors from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. She subsequently completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, also at Chulalongkorn University, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Dental Biomaterials Science.

In addition to formal academic training, Dr. Arunjaroensuk has undertaken several continuing education programs in dental implantology, bone augmentation, and soft tissue regeneration. Her advanced clinical training includes the Advanced Implant Surgery Course at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden as well as the Full Arches with Immediate Loading course at Faculdade Ilapeo, Brazil.

Dr. Arunjaroensuk’s academic and research interests focus on digital implant surgery, bone regeneration, and the application of artificial intelligence in dentistry.

Dr. Romain Doliveux is in private practice dedicated exclusively to surgical implant rehabilitations in his two clinics in France and Germany. He is currently the Education Delegate of the ITI Section France.

After earning a Certificate in Biomaterials from Marseille University France (2009), he completed his oral surgery residency at the Schloß Schellenstein Clinic (Prof. F. Khoury) and received his Oral Surgery Specialty from the Münster Dental School Germany (2014). Dr Doliveux was then promoted to Senior Surgeon in the surgical department of the Clinic Schloß Schellenstein (2015) and earned a Master of Science in Implantology & Dental Surgery from Münster dental School Germany (2015).

Dr. Doliveux has published extensively and has presented on national and international lecture circuits on bone grafting procedures combined with digital technologies.

Dr. Maria Elisa Galarraga Vinueza, DDS, MSc, PhD, is currently faculty in the Periodontology Program at Harvard University, Boston, USA. She was assistant professor in the department of Prosthodontics, Division of Implant Dentistry at Tufts University in Boston, USA (2022-2024). She served as a visiting researcher at the Institute of Biomaterials at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany.

Dr. Galarraga is an international speaker and has earned international awards, including the Osteology Foundation Scholarship in 2019. As part of her PhD research, she conducted clinical studies in the Oral Surgery Department at Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. Dr. Galarraga is an active member of several prominent professional organizations. She was appointed as the lead researcher on risk indicators and factors for peri-implant diseases for the 2024 Consensus Conference on Peri-implant Diseases, a joint initiative of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration. She serves on the Research Committee of the Iberoamerican Federation of Periodontology (FIPP) and is also a member of the Expert Council of the Osteology Foundation. Additionally, she is an ad hoc reviewer for leading journals such as the Journal of Clinical Periodontology, Clinical Oral Investigations, and Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research.

Dr. Galarraga’s primary research interests include the development of biomaterials for bone regeneration and the study of peri-implant diseases, focusing on their histopathology, etiology, and technological innovations on the diagnoses and regeneration of peri-implant diseases. Dr. Galarraga has published more than 45 scholarly publications in the main international peer-reviewed journals. She has also co-authored 5 book chapters related to peri-implant biological complication and bone regeneration.

Dr. Ignacio Sanz-Martin lives and practices in Lausanne (Switzerland) where he owns a practice specialized in periodontics and implant dentistry.

Dr. Sanz-Martin obtained his Doctor in Dental surgery degree in Madrid in 2005 and continued his training as a specialist in periodontology and dental implants at Tufts University in Boston (USA) from 2007 to 2010, where he obtained his Master’s in Dental Sciences in 2010. He was later awarded a Scholarship in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics at the University of Zurich (2010-2011) and became a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology in 2011. From 2012 to 2018, he combined his private practice work in Madrid with a position as an assistant professor in the department of periodontology at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), where he completed his PhD on dental implants in 2017.

Prof. Dr. Jan Cosyn is a professor at Ghent University, where he is Chairman of the Department of Periodontology and Oral Implantology and Programme Director of the EFP-accredited postgraduate program in Periodontology.

Prof. Cosyn graduated in dentistry from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2000. He specialized in periodontology and oral implantology at the same institution and combined his training with a PhD program.

Prof. Cosyn has promoted 11 PhD projects and published over 130 articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He performs research on immediate implant placement, alveolar ridge preservation and soft tissue augmentation and is frequently invited as a speaker to national and international conferences.

Dr. Luis Gonzaga is a clinician and practices at the University of Florida Center for Implant Dentistry, treating patients with complex surgical or prosthetic needs that involve dental implants.

Dr. Gonzaga graduated from the Catholic University of Brasilia College of Dentistry in 2004. and was awarded an ITI Scholarship in 2009. In 2011 he was accepted and then completed a residency program and master’s in Prosthodontics at the University of Florida in 2014.

Dr. Gonzaga is an ITI Speaker and Fellow, a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is a past communications officer for the ITI Section USA and former President of the Florida Prosthodontic Association.

Dr. Miha Pirc (MAS Implantology, MClin Periodontology, MClin Prosthodontics) is a Faculty Member (Senior Lecturer/Oberarzt) at the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry, Center of Dental Medicine, University of Zurich, where he combines teaching and research with a primary focus on implantology, prosthodontics, and regenerative medicine. In parallel, he is active in private practice as a specialist in implantology, periodontology, and prosthodontics.

Dr. Pirc obtained his DMD from the University of Ljubljana and completed advanced clinical training in periodontology at the University Medical Center Ljubljana. He was an Osteology Foundation Scholar at the University of Zurich and subsequently pursued postgraduate training in reconstructive dentistry, including residency training and a Master of Implantology.

He currently serves as Section Editor (Clinical Concepts) for The International Journal of Prosthodontics and remains actively involved in international professional organizations.

Prof. Dr. Tim Joda is Head of eHealth in Reconstructive Dentistry at the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry, University of Zurich. He is triple board-certified in Prosthodontics, Periodontology and Implantology. Tim holds an MSc degree in Prosthodontics & Biomaterials, a PhD in Digital Implant Workflows and an executive MBA. He was a ITI Scholar at the University of Bern (2011), he later received the venia legendi “Privatdozent” (2016) and was appointed Associate Professor (2018). Tim was also the founding Director of the Division of Digital Reconstructive Technology & Implantology in Bern. In 2018, he was appointed Vice Chair and Program Director of Postgraduate Education in the Department of Reconstructive Dentistry, University of Basel.

Tim is a Principal Investigator and actively involved in clinical and translational research on implant workflows and prosthetic treatment concepts in the field of digital technologies and e-health data management using AI & ML.

Balazs Feher is an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He also holds an appointment as a Senior Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the Medical University of Vienna. His primary research focus is the application of data science and artificial intelligence for diagnostic, prognostic, and generative modeling in dental medicine. He further conducts preclinical research on oral tissue regeneration.

Dr. Feher is a contributor to the ITU/WHO/WIPO Global Initiative on Artificial Intelligence for Health (Topic Group Dentistry), Chair of the European Association for Osseointegration’s Junior Committee, a former Osteology Research Scholar, and current ITI Research Mentor.

Dr. Feher earned his DMD and PhD from the Medical University of Vienna, where he trained as a postgraduate assistant in oral surgery and later habilitated under Prof. Reinhard Gruber and Prof. Ulrike Kuchler, earning the venia docendi in dental medicine. He joined Harvard as an Osteology Research Scholar and completed a postdoctoral fellowship under Dean William V. Giannobile and Prof. Magda Feres before joining the Faculty of Medicine.
